Festival Innovation: The Stamp Schedule

One of my favorite things about going to many festivals is experiencing the creativity of different event organizers. It never ceases to amaze me how organizers continually come up with new ways of making things bigger, prettier and more environmentally friendly.

This was most definitely the case yesterday when I attended the Sun God Festival held on University Of San Diego campus for students. Sun God is a legitimate one-day festival that featured two stages, a performance tent, and headliners Diplo and Young The Giant this year.

On our way into the festival one of the volunteers asked if I wanted a schedule. When I told her I wanted one, she grabbed my arm and stamped me.

A stampable lineup!!!

In a word: BRILLIANT. This simple stamp gave me the information I needed and it saved a few thousand programs from needing to be printed, which is good for the environment and even better for the budget. The stamp schedule worked great and definitely gets my stamp of approval.
